super cute layout, love the background
u know u can remove that ugly footer by adding #footer{display:none;}
and adding !important in ur link codes
example: a, a:link,a:active,a:visited{font :normal 9px verdana; color: #809C8B!important; background-color:#D9DBD0!impor tant;}

I added the banner to my h1 class as a background image in my style sheet and changed the font size to zero.
